Are you trying to get pregnant quickly?

Trying To Get Pregnant QuicklyIf you are trying to get pregnant quickly, there are several solutions that increase your chances for conception.  Some are scientific proven methods and others are common wives’ tales.  As a potential new mother, how can you tell what really works in helping you become pregnant?

In 2007, I was diagnosed with fallopian tube damage which prevented me from getting pregnant quickly.  My husband and I spent 5 years trying to become pregnant and it almost destroyed our marriage.  During this time, I can tell you I tried almost everything.  Below I will outline some of the common tips to get pregnancy quickly.  I will also share with you what ultimately helped me become pregnant.

Some of the other tips I used trying to get pregnant quickly :

  • Cut out caffeine:  I gave up soft drinks and coffee (and I love coffee).
  • Vitamins: I tried taking prenatal vitamins and extra folic acid.
  • Planning my cycles:  I tried keeping up with my cycles on paper to maximize my chances of conception.
  • Laying down after intercourse: Resisting the urge to run to the bathroom after our lovemaking.  This was very difficult for me.  One of my girlfriends even suggested laying inverted afterwards.
  • Making love more often: My husbands eyes lit up when I told him we should try once a day for awhile to help improve our chances.
  • Taking my daily BBT: Taking your basil body temperature  helps determine when your most fertile during the month.  They also make fertility computers/monitors to help determine your fertility.  Your best chance for pregnancy is in the 5 day period before ovulation.
  • The fertility diet: Tried a strict diet of tofu and soy foods for a month.  Definitely wasn’t my tastes.  The key to a fertile diet is zinc ( beef, turkey, pork, chicken, beans, yogurt, and shellfish), Manganese ( carrots, broccoli, spinach, bananas, and raisins),  Calcuim (milk and other dairy products).
  • Exercise in moderation: I tried cutting down on my work out schedule per my doctors recommendation.  Another tip I heard was to have your male partner avoid riding bicycles due to the constant contact of their reproductive area.
  • Avoid drinking and cigarettes: Cigarettes weren’t a problem for me since I don’t smoke.  But I did cut back on my wine nights with the husband.
  • In vitro fertilization: This cost us more than $11,000 for the surgery.  The doctor told us this was the easiest way to get pregnant quickly.  Unfortunately, it didn’t work for us.  I had a miscarriage during the second month of being pregnant.  Loosing the baby was one of the hardest things I have been through in my life.

None of these tips helped me get pregnant quickly!  But I found what did:

Today, our family is healthy and I have a pregnant belly for the SECOND time in 18 months!  The single easiest way to get pregnant was to practice the techniques in this book.

UPDATE: One of my girlfriends from highschool just found out that the techniques worked for her too! So even if you’re a 40 year old trying to get pregnant,  please check out this program!
